Angry Confusion amongst manufacturers and/or distributors with energy chews!

There is much confusion amongst manufacturers and/or distributors with the major types of energy chews and/or drinks. Back in June of 2008, 1800 Vending, which was distributing a top-of-the-line 3 head bulk candy machine decided to end this market and switch to LiveWire Energy Chews. It all appear great, knowing that www.PureEnergyVending.com would offer different levels of energy to the public, meaning 80mg, 100mg, and 120mg of energy chews at different tastes. However, their success didn't last very long. By early 2009 LiveWire Energy Chews and 1800 Vending were no longer contracting with each other. Throughout this time, Vroom Foods was contracting with Mad Dog for distributing their Buzz Bites. However, this contract also ended. Vroom Foods now contracts with Power Up Energy Chews. Mad Dog Energy Products now distribute at the retail market 4 different types of flavor energy chews. How can any vending entrepreneur depend on any of these companies for support with all the confusion going on?

Well with all this energy hype I wanted to comment that most people may prefer a Red Bull, even though it may be a bit costly, for many reasons, a chilled Red Bull will not only give you what it promises, but it will also quench your thirst. What people need to know is that these drinks are loaded with caffeine and may cause you to dehydrate very quickly. If you take too many of these drinks at once you may be heading towards the Emergency Room at a nearby hospital.

Please do a bit of research before you invest on ANY of these promising energy chews.

Nice post Alien. It seems like you know quite a bit about the market and the people who sell the energy products. Are you involved as a distributor of energy products in any way? Have you seen the script that one of the biz opp companies use to sell there energy products as a business.
Here is a link
Revive Energy Mints

Read it. Its pretty amusing.

Default Buzz Bites tried this script with me!

Vendmaster:

Thank you for your post. I read the script on the link and it seemed as though a rep from Buzz Bites was just reading it to me. An actual rep had spoken to me about 2 months ago and if I am not wrong, the script seemed quite similar to the one that I was confronted with over the phone. As a matter of fact, this same guy called me various times trying to get me to spend $12,500 with 25+ machines. This script appears to be a photocopy that travels from company to company trying to entice prospective newcomers into the energy market.

The strange part of this is that it is not the product that is questionable, on the contrary, the product is very appealing and satisfying. The problems start with the upper management with various of these companies. As an example, 1800 Vending has terminated 2 of its markets within just a few months.

I just bought a double-head Buzz Bites energy vending machine at the eBay platform. It should be arriving very soon. Most of the valuable information that I obtain I get from actual vending owners. This web site is also quite helpful, just like your response.

Hey, when you get a chance, can you please give me any new info on what Live Wire Energy Chews is up to?

Thanks:
PS: I am actually a very small vending owner. I presently have 6 locatons with U-Turns, most doing quite well. I also have a Mentos machine that dispenses the New Soft Center Gums with 6 different flavors. I jerry-rigged the machine and made the mint machine capable of vending 2 pieces of gum. The machine makes approximately $30-$45 monthly. I will also have 1 double-head Buzz Bites machine when it arrives.

Cornbread:

Placing energy chew machines in a base exchange may not be too good a deal. Neverheless, the majority of the customers are going there for maybe 45 min to 1 hr. and are simply decided on where they are going. They are just too busy to be contemplating on energy chews or shots, especially if they are weekend customers. These folks are packed up with much energy to go shopping at the exchange. Many of them live far away from the exchange, as opposed to Wal-Mart outlets. Why make the long trip if you are so tired?

An excellent location to place these energy machines are in telemarketing businesses. I used to work as one a few years back and still remember the long hard work associated with this business. When they finally placed Red Bull in the vending soda machines most reps welcomed this change with open arms.

We as distributors and/or vendors should not judge a market by how one location operates. The folks that placed these machines in the exchange may be related to the MWR organization (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation organization, which is run by an independent organization within every naval base). I have seen 1" gumball machines near the cosmetics department at the naval exchange in San Diego and have never seen anyone use the machine. The merchandise seems to stay at a steady level, yet, nobody does anything about it. That's MWR for you.
